Numerical study of chemically reacting unsteady Casson fluid flow past a stretching surface with cross diffusion and thermal radiation

open access: yesOpen Engineering, 2017
The problem of an unsteady MHD Casson fluid flow towards a stretching surface with cross diffusion effects is considered. The governing partial differential equations are converted into a set of nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations with the ...

Additive Manufacturing of Alumina‐Reinforced Elastomers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Vat‐photopolymerized elastomers reinforced with platelet‐shaped alumina exhibited preferential orientation, reduced porosity, and significantly enhanced mechanical performance. A 3 wt% platelet loading increased tensile strength from 12.4 to 45.7 MPa, highlighting the critical role of filler morphology in elastomeric VPP composites.

High‐Resolution Corrosion Fingerprinting of Alloy Libraries via Microdroplet Spectroelectrochemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic‐liquid microdroplet spectroelectrochemistry enables stable, localized electrochemical measurements over extended timescales. By coupling impedance spectroscopy, wetting analysis, finite‐element simulations, and operando Raman spectroscopy, it disentangles geometrical and electrochemical effects, opening new opportunities for rapid corrosion ...

Magnetohydrodynamic water-based hybrid nanofluid flow comprising diamond and copper nanoparticles on a stretching sheet with slips constraints

open access: yesOpen Physics
Hybrid nanofluid problems are used for augmentation of thermal transportation in various industrial applications. Therefore, the present problem is studied for the heat and mass transportation features of hybrid nanofluid caused by extending surface ...

Optimal Auxiliary Functions Method for viscous flow due to a stretching surface with partial slip

open access: yesOpen Engineering, 2018
The viscous flow induced by a stretching surface with partial slip is investigated. The flow is governed by a third-order nonlinear differential equation, corresponding to the planar and axisymmetric stretching.

Superlubricity and Corrosion Inhibition Properties of Solvate Ionic Liquids in Hybrid Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic–Steel Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...

Generalized stretch lines for surfaces with boundary

open access: yes, 2019
In 1986 William P. Thurston introduced the celebrated (asymmetric) Lipschitz distance on the Teichmueller space of a (closed or punctured) surface. In this paper we extend his work to the Teichmueller space of a surface with boundary endowed the arc distance.

Liquid film on an unsteady stretching surface [PDF]

open access: yesQuarterly of Applied Mathematics, 1990
A fluid film lies on an accelerating stretching surface. A similarity transform reduces the unsteady Navier-Stokes equations to a nonlinear ordinary differential equation governed by a nondimensional unsteady parameter. Asymptotic and numerical solutions are found.

Brownian motion and thermophoresis influence in magnetized Maxwell upper-convected stagnation point fluid flow via a stretching porous surface

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science
This article focuses on the effects of Brownian motion and thermophoresis convection in the stagnation point flow of a Maxwell upper-convected fluid over a non-Darcian porous surface with slip conditions and a magnetic inclination effect.

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.
