Identificação do género Striga em Angola. Combate de Striga asiatica em milho
Striga asiatica is the major constraints in maize (Zea mays) production in Angola. Since S. asiatica seedbanks are long-lived, control strategies that affect the seeds emergence and parasitism are necessary. Low soil fertility, namely phosphorus and nitrogen amount, is another factor that directly affects maize yield.

Management of Striga (Striga hermonthica) in Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) at Jeldu District

Striga hermonthica (Scrophulariaceae: Rhinanthoideae) is aparasitic weed on sorghum and millet in Africa. It has not been possible, so far, to breed varieties of these crops immune to striga. Variation in many floral and vegetative features and in seed coat ornamentation indicates a diversity of genotypes within populations of hermonthica.
