Quantitative proteomics identifies clusterin as a novel biomarker for atherosclerosis

This schematic illustrates the proposed mechanism. In advanced atherosclerotic lesions, upregulated CLU on the cell surface activates low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor‐related protein 1 (LRP1). This interaction triggers the phosphorylation and activation of AKT.

Wireless blood pressure sensor implantation in sheep: A detailed technique

Animal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Twelve adult sheep underwent wireless blood pressure sensor implantation. The procedure lasted an average of 36 min, with mean systolic and diastolic blood pressures of 93 ± 6 and 65 ± 5 mmHg, respectively. This rapid, minimally invasive protocol is a powerful platform for cardiovascular device development.

Transcriptomic validation of a 7,12 Dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA)‐induced leukemia rat model: Parallels with human leukemogenesis

7,12‐Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) could induce leukemia and other types of cancers in rat models. Transcriptomics revealed gene expression profile that parallels with human leukemia. DMBA‐induced differential gene expression could validate the developed rat model.
