α′-corrected black holes in String Theory [PDF]
Abstract We consider the well-known solution of the Heterotic Superstring effective action to zeroth order in α ′ that describes the intersection of a fundamental string with momentum and a solitonic 5-brane and which gives a 3-charge, static, extremal, supersymmetric black hole in 5 dimensions upon dimensional ...

The quark mass correction to the string potential [PDF]
Following recent work by Lambiase and Nesterenko we study in detail the interquark potential for a Nambu-Goto string with point masses attached to its ends. We obtain exact solutions to the gap equations for the Lagrange multipliers and metric components and determine the potential without simplifying assumptions. We also discuss Lüscher term and argue

Localization and counting of string tomatoes based on improved Tiny-YOLOv5l algorithm
Objective: This study is to improve the sorting efficiency of string tomatoes, and solve its false detection and false detection. Methods: First, collect the image data set of string tomatoes, expand the data and improve the generalization performance of

Quark mass correction to the string potential [PDF]
A consistent method for calculating the interquark potential generated by the relativistic string with massive ends is proposed. In this approach the interquark potential in the model of the Nambu--Goto string with point--like masses at its ends is calculated.

Ringing and echoes from black bounces surrounded by the string cloud
In the string theory, the fundamental blocks of nature are not particles but one-dimensional strings. Therefore, a generalization of this idea is to think of it as a cloud of strings. Rodrigues et al.

PROBLEMS OF MEASURING OF MOTION PARAMETERS OF THE DRILL STRING
The current methods of measuring of parameters of the movement of the drill string are reviewed. The as-sessment of these methods from the point of view of metrology and the effectiveness of the application of measuring equipment is given.

String loop corrections to the universal hypermultiplet [PDF]
We study loop corrections to the universal dilaton supermultiplet for type IIA strings compactified on Calabi-Yau threefolds. We show that the corresponding quaternionic kinetic terms receive non-trivial one-loop contributions proportional to the Euler number of the Calabi-Yau manifold, while the higher-loop corrections can be absorbed by field ...

The first α′-correction to homogeneous Yang-Baxter deformations using O(d, d)
We use the O(d, d)-covariant formulation of supergravity familiar from Double Field Theory to find the first α′-correction to (unimodular) homogeneous Yang-Baxter (YB) deformations of the bosonic string.

AdS4/CFT3 from weak to strong string coupling
We consider the four-point function of operators in the stress tensor multiplet of the U(N) k × U(N) −k ABJM theory, in the limit where N is taken to infinity while N/k 5 is held fixed.

Monopoles on string-like models and the Coulomb's law
The monopole mass can be substantially altered, in the string-like braneworld setup, and can be employed in order to constrain the brane thickness limit.
