Conformal geometric method study open strings and closed strings relationships on Dirichlet branes [PDF]
The compactness of the closed string in the classical Type II string theory reveals the duality, whereas the compactness of the open string reveals that the end of the string is on the hypersurface which satisfies the Dirichlet boundary condition.

Hagedorn Behaviour of Little String Theory from String Corrections to NS5-Branes [PDF]
Following the conjectured duality between near-horizon NS5-branes and little string theory, the string-corrected thermodynamics of near-horizon NS5-branes is studied and found to agree with the statistical thermodynamics of a 5+1 dimensional ...

A therapeutic strategy is proposed for periodontitis using extracellular vesicles derived from EPO‐stimulated macrophages (EPO‐EVs). This schema demonstrates how EPO‐EVs enhance the osteogenic activity of mBMSCs in an inflammatory environment by inhibiting EGFR.

Does String Theory Have a Duality Symmetry Relating Weak and Strong Coupling? [PDF]
The heterotic string theory, compactified to four dimensions, has been conjectured to have a duality symmetry (S duality) that transforms the dilaton nonlinearly. If valid, this symmetry could provide an important means of obtaining information about nonperturbative features of the theory.

Gut metabolite trimethylamine N‐oxide accumulates in the diabetic wound area to amplify macrophage inflammation via enhancing glycolysis activities. Kinsenoside induces macrophage repolarization from M1 to M2 phenotype through inhibiting IRE1α/XBP1 pathway, followed by HIF‐1α‐glycolysis axis repression and mitophagy‐oxidative phosphorylation axis ...

New Reflections on Gravitational Duality
In general terms duality consists of two descriptions of one physical system by using degrees of freedom of different nature. There are different kinds of dualities and they have been extremely useful to uncover the underlying strong coupling dynamics of

In the fruitful interplay between gauge fields and strings and in many conjectured M-theory dualities, open strings play a prominent role. We review the construction of open-string descendants (un-orientifolds) of closed-string theories admitting a generalized orientation reversal involution.

A universal and versatile zwitterion coating strategy is developed for blood‐contacting catheters with long lengths and complex geometries. The coating exhibits near‐zero fouling, superior anticoagulation, and selective biocapturing properties while maintaining excellent stability under dynamic blood flow.

AutoCaSc: Prioritizing candidate genes for neurodevelopmental disorders
Abstract Routine exome sequencing (ES) in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) remains inconclusive in >50% of the cases. Research analysis of unsolved cases can identify novel candidate genes but is time‐consuming, subjective, and hard to compare between labs.

A worldsheet supersymmetric Newton-Cartan string
We construct a (locally) supersymmetric worldsheet action for a string in a non-relativistic Newton-Cartan background. We do this using a doubled string action, which describes the target space geometry in an O(D, D) covariant manner using a doubled ...
