Rapid Glass‐Substrate Digital Light 3D Printing Enables Anatomically Accurate Stroke Patient‐Specific Carotid Artery‐on‐Chips for Personalized Thrombosis Investigation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid glass‐substrate 3D microfabrication method creates anatomically accurate carotid artery‐on‐a‐chip models from stroke patient scans in 2 h. These miniaturized devices replicate patient‐specific blood vessel geometry and flow patterns, enabling real‐time imaging of clot formation under controlled injury.

Some Recent Progress in AdS/CFT

open access: yes, 2010
Much of modern string theory research concerns AdS/CFT duality, or more generally, gauge/gravity duality. The main subjects are a) Testing and understanding such dualities by exploring how they work for systems with a lot of supersymmetry b) Constructing

Biological and Biologically Inspired Functional Nanostructures: Insights into Structural, Optical, Thermal, and Sensing Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Biological and biologically‐inspired functional nanostructures with structural, thermal, optical, and sensing applications are reviewed. The role of nanoscale features in biological materials on performance is described, and their blueprints are used for bio‐inspired nanomaterials, synthesized using advanced techniques (i.e., photolithography, bio ...

T-Duality For String in Horava-Lifshitz Gravity

open access: yes, 2010
We continue our study of the Lorentz breaking string theories. These theories are defined as string theory with modified Hamiltonian constraint which breaks the Lorentz symmetry of target space-time.

String duality and modular forms [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1997
Tests of duality between heterotic strings on $K3\times T^2$ (restricted on certain Narain moduli subspaces) and type IIA strings on K3-fibered Calabi-Yau threefolds are attempted in the weak coupling regime on the heterotic side by identifying pertinent modular forms related to the computations of string threshold corrections. Concretely we discuss in

Immersed Halide Perovskite‐Based Electrochemical Cells for Stable Solar Water Splitting: Achievements, Opportunities, and Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Halide perovskites are promising photoabsorbers in solar water‐splitting devices owing to their outstanding optoelectronic properties. This review summarizes advances in encapsulation techniques and material engineering strategies to enhance efficiency and device stability.

Autonomous Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An ideal implant should mimic native tissues such that it can integrate, sense, heal, and continue to function, i.e., be autonomous. Although early, there are good steps taken in this way, e.g., the development of stimuli‐responsive, self‐powering, self‐actuating, self‐healing, self‐regenerating, and self‐aware implants.

Towards generalized mirror symmetry for twisted connected sum G 2 manifolds

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We revisit our construction of mirror symmetries for compactifications of Type II superstrings on twisted connected sum G 2 manifolds. For a given G 2 manifold, we discuss evidence for the existence of mirror symmetries of two kinds: one is an ...

Open Strings and Dualities

open access: yes, 1997
In the fruitful interplay between gauge fields and strings and in many conjectured M-theory dualities, open strings play a prominent role. We review the construction of open-string descendants (un-orientifolds) of closed-string theories admitting a generalized orientation reversal involution.

Beyond Presumptions: Toward Mechanistic Clarity in Metal‐Free Carbon Catalysts for Electrochemical H2O2 Production via Data Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...
