Explore and Exploit with Heterotic Line Bundle Models
Deep reinforcement learning is used to explore a class of heterotic SU(5) GUT models constructed from line bundle sums over Complete Intersection Calabi Yau (CICY) manifolds. Several experiments are performed where A3C agents are trained to search for such models. These agents significantly outperform random exploration, in the most favourable settings

The Nelson‐Seiberg Theorem Generalized with Nonpolynomial Superpotentials
The Nelson‐Seiberg theorem relates R‐symmetries to F‐term supersymmetry breaking and provides a guiding rule for new physics model building beyond the Standard Model. A revision of the theorem gives a necessary and sufficient condition to supersymmetry breaking in models with polynomial superpotentials.

Product-Group Unification in Type IIB String Thoery [PDF]
The product-group unification is a model of unified theories, in which masslessness of the two Higgs doublets and absence of dimension-five proton decay are guaranteed by a symmetry. It is based on SU(5) x U(N) (N=2,3) gauge group.

This article discusses the status of string physics where the string tension is around the TeV scale. The article covers model building basics for perturbative strings, based on D-brane configurations. The effective low energy physics description of such

LHC SUSY and WIMP dark matter searches confront the string theory landscape
The string theory landscape of vacua solutions provides physicists with some understanding as to the magnitude of the cosmological constant. Similar reasoning can be applied to the magnitude of the soft SUSY breaking terms in supersymmetric models of ...

D-Foam Phenomenology: Dark Energy, the Velocity of Light and a Possible D-Void
In a D-brane model of space-time foam, there are contributions to the dark energy that depend on the D-brane velocities and on the density of D-particle defects.

LHC and ILC probes of hidden-sector gauge bosons [PDF]
Intersecting D-brane theories motivate the existence of exotic U(1) gauge bosons that only interact with the Standard Model through kinetic mixing with hypercharge.

An Exceptional Sector for F-theory GUTs
D3-branes are often a necessary ingredient in global compactifications of F-theory. In minimal realizations of flavor hierarchies in F-theory GUT models, suitable fluxes are turned on, which in turn attract D3-branes to the Yukawa points.
