Gravity-mediated dark matter in clockwork/linear dilaton extra-dimensions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We study for the first time the possibility that Dark Matter (represented by particles with spin 0, 1/2 or 1) interacts gravitationally with Standard Model particles in an extra-dimensional Clockwork/Linear Dilaton model.

Landscape of modular symmetric flavor models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We study the moduli stabilization from the viewpoint of modular flavor symmetries. We systematically analyze stabilized moduli values in possible configurations of flux compactifications, investigating probabilities of moduli values and showing which ...

A Toy Model for Gauge-Mediation in Intersecting Brane Models

open access: yes, 2009
We discuss the phenomenology of a toy intersecting brane model where supersymmetry is dynamically broken in an open string hidden sector and gauge-mediated to the visible sector. Scalar masses ~ TeV are easily realizable, and R-symmetry is broken.

Dark matter in the KL moduli stabilization scenario with SUSY breaking sector from N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 SQCD

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We investigate neutralino dark matter from a string/M-theory perspective. Using the Kallosh-Linde (KL) scenario to stabilize the string moduli requires supersymmetry breaking for uplifting to a de Sitter vacuum.

The Conformal Sector of F-theory GUTs

open access: yes, 2012
D3-brane probes of exceptional Yukawa points in F-theory GUTs are natural hidden sectors for particle phenomenology. We find that coupling the probe to the MSSM yields a new class of N = 1 conformal fixed points with computable infrared R-charges.

Unity of pomerons from gauge/string duality

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We develop a formalism where the hard and soft pomeron contributions to high energy scattering arise as leading Regge poles of a single kernel in holographic QCD.

Type IIA string theory on T 6/(Z2 × Z6 × OmegaR) : model building and string phenomenology with intersecting D6-branes

open access: yes, 2016
In this doctoral thesis, various aspects of string model building and phenomenology are investigated within the framework of Type IIA string theory on the T 6/(Z2 × Z6 × ΩR) orbifold with discrete torsion. The aim is the reproduction of supersymmetric versions of well-known particle physics models using intersecting rigid D6-branes wrapped on ...

D Branes and Textures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We examine the flavor structure of the trilinear superpotential couplings which can result from embedding the Standard Model within D brane sectors in Type IIB orientifold models, which are examples within the Type I string framework.

Hidden sectors in string theory: kinetic mixings, fifth forces and quintessence

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Light moduli fields in string compactifications can have interesting implications for particle physics and cosmology. Fifth force bounds impose stringent constraints on the interactions of such moduli with the visible sector.

Searching for axion-like particles with proton tagging at the LHC

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
The existence of an axion-like particle (ALP) would induce anomalous scattering of light by light. This process can be probed at the Large Hadron Collider in central exclusive production of photon pairs in proton-proton collisions by tagging the ...
