The theory of the deuteron stripping reaction
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1952The differential cross-section for deuteron stripping reactions at energies several million electron volts above the Coulomb barrier is calculated by a method which is essentially that of Butler as regards physical assumptions and line of argument, but which employs a different mathematical technique and notation at many points, for ...

Distorted-wave theory of deuteron stripping reactions
Nuclear Physics, 1964Abstract A theory of deuteron stripping reactions without zero-range assumption is developed from the viewpoint that the waves of the nucleons of the incident deuteron are distorted by their respective potentials. Formulae for the transition amplitude are given for the cases of normal stripping reactions, anomalous stripping reactions including ...

An approximate three-body theory of deuteron stripping
Nuclear Physics A, 1974Abstract A treatment of deuteron stripping is developed in which the three-body effects associated with deuteron break-up in the nuclear field are included explicitly. The essence of the method is the choice of a convenient discrete set of n-p eigenfunctions as a representation of the three-body continuum effects.

ON THEORY OF DEUTERON STRIPPING REACTION
1976Publisher Summary This chapter describes the theory of deuteron stripping reaction. Distorted wave Bom approximation theory with a skillful choice of optical potential parameters has provided good fits to deuteron scattering and deuteron stripping data.

Semi infinite Orthotropic Cantilevered Strips and the Foundations of Plate Theories
Studies in Applied Mathematics, 1990Elastostatic problems of semiinfinite orthotropic cantilevered strips with traction‐free edges and loading at infinity are reduced to the solution of a single scalar Fredholm integral equation of the first kind with a generalized Cauchy kernel.

The distorted wave theory of heavy particle stripping
Nuclear Physics, 1962Abstract The nuclear reaction known as heavy particle stripping is treated as a general type of nuclear reaction using the distorted wave Born approximation. General expressions for angular distributions and polarizations and polarizations are obtained and simple cases discussed,.

Theory of square-wave stripping voltammetry with adsorptive accumulation
Fresenius' Zeitschrift für Analytische Chemie, 1989A model of the anion-induced adsorptive accumulation combined with a square-wave voltammetric stripping is developed. The dependence of peak currents and peak potentials on the reversibility of redox reactions and on the reaction mechanism is demonstrated. The sensitivity of the method is estimated.

Potential theory problem for two strips in contact
Journal of Engineering Mathematics, 1974The problem of two geometrically identical strips in contact to form the potential theory equivalent to a lap joint is formulated and reduced, by integral transform methods, to the solution of a singular integral equation. A collocation scheme is used to obtain numerical results for various overlaps and amounts of coupling between the strips.
