Effects of Tillage Methods on Crop Root Growth Trend Based on 3D Modeling Technology

open access: yesAgriculture, 2022
Strip rotary tillage seeding technology has been widely used in rice–wheat rotation system, benefiting the economy greatly. The purpose of farming is to create a comfortable seedbed environment for crop growth.

Rainfall induced changes in soil moisture: A comparative study of conventional and strip tillage

open access: yesSoil and Water Research
Strip tillage is a very popular form of conservation tillage that is used in places with a higher risk of soil erosion. It is commonly accepted that strip tillage reduces the effects of water erosion; however, the exact way this effect is produced is ...

Strip Tillage Improves Grain Yield and Nitrogen Efficiency in Wheat under a Rice–Wheat System in China

open access: yesAgronomy, 2022
To characterize the adaptability of strip tillage for wheat production in a rice–wheat rotation system in China, a two-year experiment was conducted. Three methods of tillage and sowing were designed, including broadcast and drill sowing following full ...

Disrupting Helicobacter pylori Iron Homeostasis With Bismuth Nanodrug‐Mediated Nutritional Trap for Targeted Gastric Infection Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A “nutritional trap” strategy centered on disrupting bacterial iron homeostasis is proposed. The synthesized Bi‐TP@FU (TBF) can target Helicobacter pylori, interfere with the bacterial iron uptake and utilization processes to disrupt its iron homeostasis, induce bacterial death, and meanwhile preserve the balance of the intestinal flora.

Effect of Standard Disk Plough on Soil Translocation in Sloping Sicilian Vineyards

open access: yesLand, 2022
Tillage is the main force of soil redistribution in agricultural land use and has been seen as more critical than water erosion. This study aims to evaluate the effect of tillage with standard disk in vineyards.

Characterization of Early Leaf Spot Suppression by Strip Tillage in Peanut [PDF]

open access: yesPhytopathology®, 2007
Epidemics of early leaf spot of peanut (Arachis hypogaea), caused by Cercospora arachidicola, are less severe in strip-tilled than conventionally tilled fields. Experiments were carried out to characterize the effect of strip tillage on early leaf spot epidemics and identify the primary target of suppression using a comparative epidemiology approach ...

STUDY ON TILLAGE RESISTANCE AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF A PLAIN STRAIGHT ROTARY BLADE FOR STRIP TILLAGE

open access: yesEngenharia Agrícola, 2023
ABSTRACT The issue of reducing tillage resistance and lowering energy consumption has become increasingly relevant. Strip tillage has a positive impact on soil protection and energy consumption reduction. This study analysed the tillage resistance components of rotary blades and their relationship with operating parameters and developed a mathematical ...

Tillage Management and Soil Organic Matter, 2005 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Tillage systems play a significant role in agricultural production throughout Iowa and the Midwest. It has been well documented that increased tillage intensities can reduce soil organic matter in the topsoil due to increased microbial activity and ...
