Presenting a new genus within Strombidae Rafinesque, 1815 (Mollusca: Gastropoda: Littorinimorpha) with notes on the taxonomic position of Strombus (Lentigo) micklei Ladd, 1972 and the validity of Strombus (s.l.) blanci Trondle & Salvat, 2010

open access: yes, 2018
One of the problems with undertaking revisions within Strombidae Rafinesque, 1815 is the tendency for chaining within the genus Strombus Linne, 1758. Strombus is often used taxonomically as a holder for confusing taxa acting in sensu lato (s.1.).

Sex-ratio bias in Laevistrombus canarium Linné, 1758 (Gastropoda: Strombidae) from Far North Queensland, Australia

open access: yes, 2017
In general, sex-ratios in herbivorous gastropods show a strong female bias, particularly in the family Strombidae of the Indo-Pacific. Previous studies of Indo-Pacific strombs point to an underlying female bias in most species. However, the full spatial

Geographical variation in the genetic diversity and composition of the endangered Queen Conch Strombus gigas (Mesogastropoda: Strombidae) from Yucatán, México

open access: yesRevista de Biología Tropical, 2011
In Mexico and elsewhere in the Caribbean, the queen conch Strombus gigas is an endangered species. Understanding the genetic connectivity of their populations will support management strategies for long term conservation of the species. Genetic diversity
