Strong near band-edge excited second-harmonic generation from multilayer 2H Tin diselenide
We report strong second-harmonic generation (SHG) from 2H polytype of multilayer Tin diselenide (SnSe2) for fundamental excitation close to the indirect band-edge in the absence of excitonic resonances. Comparison of SHG and Raman spectra from exfoliated

Magnetism as a mass term of the edge states in graphene
The magnetism by the edge states in graphene is investigated theoretically. An instability of the pseudo-spin order of the edge states induces ferrimagnetic order in the presence of the Coulomb interaction.

Topological Spin Texture in a Quantum Anomalous Hall Insulator [PDF]
The quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) effect has been recently discovered in experiment using thin-film topological insulator with ferromagnetic ordering and strong spin-orbit coupling.

Strong edge colorings of uniform graphs
A strong edge coloring of a graph is a (proper) edge coloring in which every color class is an induced matching. The strong chromatic index \(\chi_S(G)\) of a graph \(G\) is the minimum number of colors in a strong edge coloring of \(G\). For a bipartite graph \(G=(U\cup V, E)\), and for two nonempty sets \(U'\subseteq U\) and \(V'\subseteq V\), let ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Electrostatic Tuning of Bilayer Graphene Edge Modes
We study the effect of a local potential shift induced by a side electrode on the edge modes at the boundary between gapped and ungapped bilayer graphene.

Helical Edge Modes near Transition to Topological Insulator with Indirect Gap
Helical edge modes are characteristic of topological insulators in two dimensions. This paper demonstrates that helical edge modes remain across transitions to ordinary insulators or to semimetals under certain condition.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

On the Adjacent Strong Equitable Edge Coloring of Pn ∨ Pn, Pn ∨ Cn and Cn ∨ Cn
A proper edge coloring of graph G is called equitable adjacent strong edge coloring if colored sets from every two adjacent vertices incident edge are different, and the number of edges in any two color classes differ by at most one, which the required ...

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.
