Strong Lensing of Gravitational Waves as Seen by LISA [PDF]
We discuss strong gravitational lensing of gravitational waves from merging of massive black hole binaries in the context of the LISA mission. Detection of multiple events would provide invaluable information on competing theories of gravity, evolution and formation of structures and, with complementary observations, constraints on H_0 and other ...

Strong field limit of black hole gravitational lensing [PDF]
We give the formulation of the gravitational lensing theory in the strong field limit for a Schwarzschild black hole as a counterpart to the weak field approach.

Inverted PAINT for Material‐Specific Super‐Resolution Fluorescence Imaging of Semiconductors
This study presents Inverted PAINT, a label‐free super‐resolution fluorescence imaging method optimized for thick and non‐transparent semiconductor materials. By employing electrostatic dye–surface interactions in an inverted geometry, the technique enables material‐specific, multicolor, and 3D nanoscale imaging, with applications in semiconductor ...

Gravitational lensing by a charged black hole of string theory
We study gravitational lensing by the Gibbons-Maeda-Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger (GMGHS) charged black hole of heterotic string theory and obtain the angular position and magnification of the relativistic images. Modeling the supermassive central object

Strong gravitational lensing’s ‘external shear’ is not shear [PDF]
ABSTRACT The distribution of mass in galaxy-scale strong gravitational lenses is often modelled as an elliptical power-law plus ‘external shear’, which notionally accounts for neighbouring galaxies and cosmic shear along our line of sight.

In this study, a fiber‐embedded drug delivery channel for implantable microprobes, demonstrating the first functional drug delivery system using flexible LCP‐based probes, is developed. The design incorporates fibers for site‐selective drug delivery and electrical functions. The utilization of monolithic thermal bonding simplifies fabrication.

Millimeter‐scale macroscopic phase‐change balls with on‐demand drug release triggered by photothermal stimulation and magnetically controllable transport properties are demonstrated. The proposed system can be easily fabricated using omniphobic surfaces and offers several advantages, including high visibility, controllable transport, easy drug loading,
