Strong Stabilization of Time-Delay Systems

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2012
Abstract Stable controllers are required due to modelling imperfections and for better performance achievements. As is well known, a stable stabilizing controller for a given real-rational plant exists if and only if the plant staisfies the so-called parity interlacing property. In this paper, a recent result, which proves that this condition is also

Strong moduli stabilization and phenomenology [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2013
We describe the resulting phenomenology of string theory/supergravity models with strong moduli stabilization. The KL model with F-term uplifting, is one such example. Models of this type predict universal scalar masses equal to the gravitino mass. In contrast, A-terms receive highly suppressed gravity mediated contributions.

Implementing Health‐Related Quality of Life Assessment in Pediatric Oncology: A Feasibility Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background There is growing interest in embedding health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) assessment and patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs) within clinical cancer care. This study evaluated the feasibility, acceptability, and usability of implementing an electronic PROM (ePROM) platform to measure HRQoL in children with cancer ...

Strong stability and strong quasistability of vector trajectorial problem of lexicographic optimization [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 1998
Two types of stability of the lexicographic set for the multicriteria problem on a system of subsets of a finite set with the vector criterion of the most general kind are investigated.

A strong stability condition on minimal submanifolds and its implications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We identify a strong stability condition on minimal submanifolds that implies uniqueness and dynamical stability properties. In particular, we prove a uniqueness theorem and a 𝒞 1 {\mathcal{C}^{1}} dynamical stability theorem of the mean curvature flow ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)
