The anterior glands of adult Necator americanus (Nematoda: Strongyloidea)—I Ultrastructural studies
International Journal for Parasitology, 1974Abstract The ultrastructure of the amphidial, oesophageal and excretory glands of N. americanus is described. There are two amphidial glands, and each is attached to a lateral hypodermal cord. Anteriorly the glands become associated with the amphidial sense organs.

Life-Cycle of Cyathostoma lari, Blanchard 1849 (Nematoda, Strongyloidea)
Nature, 1959DURING an investigation into helminth parasitism in wild birds in northern England, specimens of an unusual nematode, Cyathostoma lari E. Blanchard 1849, were recovered from a variety of host species. C. lari, a parasite of the nasal and orbital sinuses of gulls1,2, has been recorded only at infrequent intervals in various parts of Europe and was not ...

The egg-shell of Labiostrongylus eugenii (nematoda, strongyloidea): Structure and function
International Journal for Parasitology, 1984Abstract The egg-shell of Labio-strongylus eugenii consists of three layers; an outer vitelline layer, a middle chitinous layer and an inner lipid layer. The presence of chitin and protein in the middle layer was demonstrated by the use of chitinase and differential staining. The lipid layer was found to be made up of two layers, the innermost having

Systematic Parasitology, 2004
As part of a revision of the systematics of the Cyathostominea of equids, we determined that the single type-specimen of Cylicocyclus adersi Boulenger, 1920 is missing and a modern description of this rare species parasitic in donkeys Equus asinus L. and zebras E. burchelli (Gray) and E. zebra L. is not available.

The new species is described from white-tailed deer of McIntosh County, Georgia, and Pushmataha County, Oklahoma. Eucyathostomum webbi sp. n. differs from E. longesubulatum (type) in possessing more internal leaf crown elements, unbarbed spiculte tips, variability in the configuration of the dorsal ray of the male bursa, and shorter vagina and ...
