Strongyloides Infestation of the Jejunum
The British Journal of Radiology, 1958Strongyloides is a nematode genus of which various species infect mammals. The species S. stercoralis is found in men and in dogs in various parts of the world and especially in the moist tropics. Man is infected by the filariform larvae which develop in moist soil and penetrate the skin. Oral infection is also possible (Shattuck, 1951).
