Abstract Strontium carbonate with self-activated luminescence in the short-wave length region λ max = 490 nm is obtained by thermal decomposition of pure SrC 2 O 4 · H 2 O at 530°C. By means of EPR, CO 2 − radicals are found in the luminescent strontium carbonate, which are stabilized in anion sites and interstitial positions of the lattice.

Polyhedron, 2020Abstract Mixed calcium/strontium carbonated apatites were obtained by aqueous addition of mixtures of calcium and strontium nitrate to NH4H2PO4 and Na2CO3 in the presence of both low and high sodium concentrations. The calcium: strontium ratios in the products were obtained by xrf and carbonate percentages by combustion analysis.

The solubility of strontium carbonate in water
Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1972Values have been determined for the solubility of SrCO3 in water, by use of both radiometric and flame emission spectrophotometric methods. The two methods gave essentially identical results. For water free from atmospheric CO2 the solubilities/mg I–1 were 5·34 ± 0·014 at 5 °C, 6·94 ± 0·018 at 15 °C, and 8·95 ± 0·029 at 25 °C.
