Self-propagating high-temperature synthesis of strontium hexaferrite

Combustion, Explosion and Shock Waves, 1993
We study the relations governing combustion front propagation and the influence of certain factors (relationship of the starting components, relative density of the specimens being synthesized, oxygen gage pressure, and iron powder particle size) on the temperature and velocity of combustion in the systems Fe−Fe2O3−SrO2−O2 and Fe−Fe2O3−SrCO3−O2.

Synthesis, Structures, and Multiferroic Properties of Strontium Hexaferrite Ceramics

Journal of Electronic Materials, 2013
Simultaneous occurrence of large ferroelectricity and strong ferromagnetism has been observed in strontium hexaferrite (SrFe12O19) ceramics. Strontium hexaferrite powders with hexagonal crystal structures have been successfully synthesized through the co-precipitation precursor method using strontium nitrate and ferric nitrate as starting materials ...

Microstructure and Magnetic Properties of Anisotropic Strontium Hexaferrite Powders

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2019
Anisotropic strontium hexaferrite powders were prepared by solid-state method with subsequent magnetic field alignment and annealing. The microstructure of the powders was investigated using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy to understand the effect of the process on magnetic properties, magnetic texture, particle size, and morphology ...

Preparation and properties of strontium hexaferrite/polyurethane magnetic coatings

Progress in Organic Coatings, 2012
Abstract Strontium hexaferrite nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared by co-precipitation of strontium and ferric ions in sodium hydroxide solution. The SrFe12O19 NPs were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and vibrating sample magnetometer.

Synthesis of Strontium Hexaferrite Using D-Fructose as a Fuel

Transactions of the Indian Ceramic Society, 2010
Strontium hexaferrite (SrFe12O19) powder was synthesized by sol-gel based combustion technique. In this technique, strontium and iron nitrates were used as the source nitrates and D-fructose as the fuel. The phase formation, thermal properties, particle morphology and surface morphology of the sintered pellets were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD ...

Reversal magnetization process in the monocrystalline samples of strontium hexaferrites

2008 18th International Crimean Conference - Microwave & Telecommunication Technology, 2008
The high-frequency and static processes of reversal magnetization are experimentally investigated in the single-crystal specimens of strontium hexaferrites (SrFe12O19). Good coincidence of dynamic and static dependences has been obtained at the transition from homogeneous (saturated) in the domain state.
