Flextensional Barium Strontium Titanate Actuators

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 2003
This paper describes the performance of the cymbal flextensional transducer using Dy‐doped barium strontium titanate (BST) as the driver material. BST was first characterized for its dielectric and loss behavior as a function of temperature and electrical bias field.

Defects on Strontium Titanate

2015
Transition metal oxides sharing the perovskite structure exhibit many scientifically interesting and technologically important phenomena, and defects in these materials play a critical role in determining their properties. In the most general sense, SrTiO3 is a suitable model system for the study of defects in perovskite oxide materials.

Elastic Constants of Strontium Titanate

Physical Review, 1963
The elastic constants ${c}_{11}$, ${c}_{12}$, and ${c}_{44}$ of single-crystal strontium titanate have been measured as a function of temperature from 300 to 108\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}K by determining the velocity of an ultrasonic wave.

Electronic structure of strontium titanate

Journal of Surface Investigation. X-ray, Synchrotron and Neutron Techniques, 2009
The spectra of three sets of optical functions for SrTiO3 crystals are determined in a broad energy range of fundamental absorption. The calculations are carried out using the experimental reflectivity spectrum in the range 1–35 eV and two theoretical permittivity spectra in the ranges 0–30 eV and 0–14 eV.

Photocorrosion of strontium titanate photoanodes

Solar Energy Materials, 1981
Abstract The photocorrosion of a strontium titanate photoanode was studied under acidic, neutral and alkaline conditions. It was found that in 0.5 M H2SO4, SrTiO3 corrodes very rapidly upon band-gap irradiation with an external bias. Assuming that the photocorrosion is a two-hole process releasing strontium ions, we calculated that the corrosion ...

Synthesis and dielectric properties of printable strontium titanate/polyvinylpyrrolidone nanocomposites

Materials Research Express, 2019
In this work, printable strontium titanate based dielectric nanocomposites have been synthesised and their dielectric properties were studied. Herein, a cost effective, environment friendly polymer, polyvinylpyrrolidone was chosen as the matrix.

Electrical conductivity in strontium titanate

Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1981
Abstract The electrical conductivity of polycrystalline SrTiO3 was determined for the oxygen partial pressure range of 10° to 10−22 atm and temperature range of 800 to 1050°C. The data were found to be proportional to the −1 6 th power of the oxygen partial pressure for the oxygen pressure range 10−15–10−22 atm, proportional to P −1 ...
