Photoluminescence dynamics in strontium titanate
Journal of Luminescence, 2009Abstract The recombination dynamics of electron–hole pairs of pure and n-doped strontium titanate (STO) bulk samples after an intense UV laser-pulse excitation has been investigated by collecting and analyzing the frequency- and time-resolved photoluminescence (PL) signal, as a function of the sample temperature.

Photoelastic Constants of Strontium Titanate
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1976The sign and value of photoelastic constants, q11–q12 and q44 for SrTiO3 crystal are reexamined using a polarizing microscope. It is concluded that SrTiO3 becomes an optically positive uniaxial crystal when compressed along a crystallographic axis, having the photoelastic constants q11–q12=+(12.6±0.8)×10-14 cm2/dyn and q44=-(4.8±0.5)×10-14 cm2/dyn.

Photo-Magnetoresistance of Strontium Titanate
Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1968The photo-magnetoresistance of pure SrTiO 3 single crystals was measured by dc method mainly at 10°K. The magnitude of the photo-magnetoresistance is greater by a factor of 5 than that of the magnetoresistance which was observed in the reduced or doped samples.

More than 1% oxygen is needed to produce insulating films; the exact percentage required depends on system cleanliness.
