Structural dynamics, an intrinsic property of viral capsids
Archives of Virology, 2001In this review, we emphasize that high-resolution models of the structures of small plant and animal viruses obtained by X-ray crystallography are static and insufficient to describe the behavior of these virions. Viral capsids are highly flexible and may undergo conformational changes under physiological conditions without collapse of the virions ...

Dynamic and Structural Properties of Aqueous Arsenic Solutions
ChemPhysChem, 2009AbstractAqueous arsenic solutions are important in geochemistry, environmental chemistry, and biochemistry. Thus, studies of arsenic solutions that probe the structure of the hydrated arsenic ion and the behavior of water around As ions have wide‐ranging implications.

Structural and dynamical properties of YH3
Physical review B: Covering condensed matter and materials physics, 2003On the basis of parameter-free electronic structure calculations for YH3, it was predicted that the total energy of the high symmetry HoD3 structure deduced from neutron powder diffraction (NPD) experiments on YD3 could be lowered by small displacements of the hydrogen atoms. Subsequent, more detailed NPD experiments failed to observe any such symmetry-

Structural and dynamical properties of -CuI: a molecular dynamics study
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 1997A constant temperature - constant volume molecular dynamics simulation has been applied to superionic CuI (-CuI) with the use of a pairwise interionic potential. Excellent agreement between the calculated value and experimental value of the cation diffusion coefficient is obtained.

Dynamics Modelling of Tensegrity Structures with Expanding Properties
2011Given the prestress level of a tensegrity structural system obtained from any form-finding method, an important step in the design process is to develop mathematical models that describe the behaviour of the system. Moreover, tensegrity structures are strongly dependent on their geometric, or kinematic, configurations.

We investigated Se structures of different degrees of disorder ranging from a 5% up to a 95% degree of amorphization. Starting from a trigonal crystalline structure we applied different strategies to introduce disorder into the Se configurations by irradiating atoms from their crystalline equilibrium positions. According to the symmetry of the trigonal

Structural and Dynamical Properties of the Hg2+ Aqua Ion: A Molecular Dynamics Study
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2008Molecular dynamics simulations of the Hg2+ ion in aqueous solution have been carried out using an effective two-body potential derived from quantum mechanical calculations. A stable heptacoordinated structure of the Hg2+ first hydration shell has been observed and confirmed by extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) experimental data.

DYNAMIC STRUCTURAL PROPERTIES OF LIVER TISSUES
1983Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the feasibility of quantifying the morphologic alterations of hepatic tissue by mechanical measurements. The data for each liver tissue group were analyzed to determine the absolute value of the complex modulus.
