PROJECTIVE STRUCTURES AND -CONNECTIONS

open access: yesJournal of the Institute of Mathematics of Jussieu, 2018
We extend T. Y. Thomas’s approach to projective structures, over the complex analytic category, by involving the$\unicode[STIX]{x1D70C}$-connections. This way, a better control of projective flatness is obtained and, consequently, we have, for example, the following application: if the twistor space of a quaternionic manifold$P$is endowed with a ...

Altered intrinsic functional connectivity in language-related brain regions in association with verbal memory performance in euthymic bipolar patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Potential abnormalities in the structure and function of the temporal lobes have been studied much less in bipolar disorder than in schizophrenia. This may not be justified because language-related symptoms, such as pressured speech and flight of ideas ...

Structural connectivity predicts clinical outcomes of deep brain stimulation for Tourette syndrome.

open access: yesBrain : a journal of neurology, 2020
Deep brain stimulation may be an effective therapy for select cases of severe, treatment-refractory Tourette syndrome; however, patient responses are variable, and there are no reliable methods to predict clinical outcomes.

Structure connectivity of hypercubes

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2018
The connectivity of a graph is an important measurement for the fault-tolerance of the network. To provide more accurate measures for the fault-tolerance of networks than the connectivity, some generalizations of connectivity have been introduced. Let H be a connected subgraph of a graph G .

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Indirect frontocingulate structural connectivity predicts clinical response to accelerated rTMS in major depressive disorder

open access: yesJournal of Psychiatry & Neuroscience, 2020
Background Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is an established treatment for major depressive disorder (MDD), but its clinical efficacy remains rather modest.

Cerebrovascular disease influences functional and structural network connectivity in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease

open access: yesAlzheimer’s Research & Therapy, 2018
Background Patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) show functional and structural connectivity alterations in the default mode network (DMN) while cerebrovascular disease (CeVD) shows functional and structural

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Graph analysis of diffusion tensor imaging-based connectome in young men with internet gaming disorder

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2023
Although recent evidence suggests that dysfunctional brain organization is associated with internet gaming disorder (IGD), the neuroanatomical alterations related to IGD remain unclear.

MagmaFlow: A desktop platform for artificial intelligence‐driven expression analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
MagmaFlow is a free, no‐code platform for gene expression analysis. It generates interactive volcano plots, links genes to literature, pathways, and diseases, prioritizes candidates using millions of publications, identifies affected biological processes, builds network diagrams, and exports publication‐ready figures and reports for macOS and Windows ...
