Turbulence: the covariant structure [PDF]
This paper recalls the covariant structure of the Newtonian theory of fluid mechanics and considers its extension to fluid turbulence. This structure requires that the field equations be covariant under the Newtonian group (that is, under both the Galilean group and the axial group): the dynamics are then consistent with the first axiom of Newtonian ...

Conceptual illustration of a Global Ecosystem Methane Observing System (GEM‐OS) integrating satellites, aircraft, atmospheric networks, and ecosystem measurements to quantify methane emissions from anthropogenic and natural sources. The multi‐scale observing framework improves source attribution, reduces uncertainty in regional methane budgets, and ...

Mice can transfer the learned rule of spatial working memory to guide similar but novel tasks. Hippocampal CA3 populational activity dynamically reorganize during memory generalization, shifting from task‐specific to generalized coding over testing days. Sparse yet redundant neural representations of CA3 enable rule transfer and cognitive map formation,

Cancer‐Associated BCL‐2 Mutants Reveal Mechanisms Towards Venetoclax Resistance
Venetoclax (VEN) resistance in chronic lymphocytic leukemia arises from diverse BCL2 mutations. We map mechanisms contributing to VEN resistance across common BCL‐2 variants. G101V and D103Y reduce drug binding and increase sequestration of pro‐apoptotic proteins. V156D blocks VEN allosterically.

Terahertz Channel Modeling, Estimation and Localization in RIS‐Assisted Systems
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces have become a recent intensive research focus. Based on practical applications, channel strategies for RIS‐assisted terahertz wireless communication systems are categorized into three different types: channel modeling, channel estimation, and channel localization.

Aberrant individual structure covariance network in patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy
ObjectiveMesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE) is a complex neurological disorder that has been recognized as a widespread global network disorder. The group-level structural covariance network (SCN) could reveal the structural connectivity disruption of ...
