Surface electronic structure of Pb(001), Pb(110), and Pb(111)
Physical Review B, 1994We report the results of surface electronic-structure calculations for the three low-index faces of elemental Pb. To our knowledge, these are the first calculations for the Pb(110) and Pb(111) surfaces addressing their electronic structure. The underlying bulk crystal is described by a realistic second-nearest-neighbor empirical tight-binding ...

Photoresponse and barrier height of Pb-Pb oxide-Pb sandwich structures
Applied Physics Letters, 1975The spectral dependence of the photocurrent in Pb-Pb oxide-Pb structures is investigated varying both the electrode thickness and the resistance of the junctions. The samples exhibit sign reversal of the photocurrent with changing photon energy hν. The effect is strongly controlled by the electrode thickness and direction of illumination.

Chemical Design of Pb-Free Relaxors for Giant Capacitive Energy Storage.
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2023Dielectric capacitors have captured substantial attention for advanced electrical and electronic systems. Developing dielectrics with high energy density and high storage efficiency is challenging owing to the high compositional diversity and the lack of

Supercrystal structures of polyhedral PbS nanocrystals
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2011The construction of supercrystals with non-spherical building blocks has attracted increasing attention due to their potential applications in the fabrication of novel devices. In this study, we report the large-scale preparation of dimension-controllable supercrystals of polyhedral PbS nanocrystals through a solvent evaporation approach.

Pressure-induced orthorhombic structure of PbS
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2010The pressure-induced crystal structure of lead sulfide (PbS) above 2.2 GPa has been studied with single-crystal x-ray diffraction in a diamond anvil cell at room temperature. It has been found to be twinned and of the TlI type (Cmcm, Z=4), in which the Pb atoms are surrounded by seven S atoms in a capped trigonal prism coordination.

The structure of molten K-Pb, Rb-Pb and Cs-Pb alloys
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 1991The authors have considered previously published neutron diffraction data, obtained at two different sources, on the molten alloys KxPb1-x, RbPb and CsPb. The difference between results for the same system obtained at the two sources has been shown to be attributable to instrumental resolution.
