In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Priming of Possessive Constructions in German: A Matter of Preference Effects?

open access: yesLanguages
We investigated structural priming in adult native speakers, focusing on possessive constructions in German, where the two alternative structures involved differ in frequency.

Intrapatient tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution in an autopsy study of metastatic salivary gland cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution of metastatic salivary gland cancer were evaluated in two patients with adenoid carcinoma and one patient with myoepithelial carcinoma. Radiology‐guided autopsy enabled multi‐region sampling (total samples n = 149), followed by whole‐genome sequencing and phylogenetic reconstruction (17 tumour samples, 4–7 per ...

Extracellular matrix remodeling and immune reprogramming drive residual tumor progression of liver cancer after incomplete microwave ablation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Incomplete microwave ablation (iMWA) of liver cancer triggers a biphasic progression in residual tumors. At Day 3, the microenvironment is characterized by acute inflammatory responses and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. By Day 14, a profound shift occurs toward oncogenic signal transduction and immunosuppression, marked by macrophage ...

Structural priming and discourse interference in second language acquisition: Overpassivization errors and priming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The paper investigates the effects of structural priming on L2 overpassivization of accusative verbs. Overpassivization is a notorious problem for many L2 learners regardless of their proficiency.

Task effects on the lexical boost effect in structural priming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Four structural priming experiments investigated the lexical boost effect in structural priming. In two experiments, wetested whether repeating the subject in prepositional object or double object ditransitive structures boosted structuralpriming. In two

Structural priming is not a Royal Road to representations [PDF]

open access: yesBehavioral and Brain Sciences, 2017
AbstractBranigan & Pickering (B&P) propose that the structural priming paradigm is a Royal Road to linguistic representations of any kind, unobstructed by influences of psychological processes. In my view, however, they are too optimistic about the versatility of the paradigm and, more importantly, its ability to provide direct evidence about ...

Unique circulating miRNAome signatures captured with distinct molecular states in Lynch syndrome and sporadic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNA profiles distinguish nonmalignant Lynch syndrome from cancer‐associated Lynch syndrome, sporadic colorectal cancer, and healthy controls. Age‐stratified analysis reveals disease‐specific regulatory states, and a six‐miRNA panel shows concordant separation in an independent colorectal tissue cohort.

Impaired implicit learning of syntactic structure in children with developmental language disorder: Evidence from syntactic priming

open access: yesAutism and Developmental Language Impairments, 2018
Background and aims Implicit learning mechanisms associated with detecting structural regularities have been proposed to underlie both the long-term acquisition of linguistic structure and a short-term tendency to repeat linguistic structure across ...
