Molecular Architectonics of Naphthalenediimides for Efficient Structure–Property Correlation

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2016
We present a bioinspired design strategy to effectively tailor the assembly of naphthalenediimides (NDIs) into a wide variety of architectures by functionalizing with amino acid derivatives. This bioinspired process of custom designing and engineering molecular assemblies is termed "bioinspired architectonics".

Structure property correlation in lithium borophosphate glasses

The European Physical Journal E, 2012
To investigate the influence of cation mobility variation due to the mixed glass former effect, 0.45Li(2)O-(0.55-x)P(2)O(5)-xB(2)O(3) glasses (0≤x≤0.55) are studied keeping the molar ratio of Li(2)O/(P(2)O(5)+B(2)O(3)) constant. Addition of B(2)O(3) into lithium phosphate glasses increases the glass transition temperature (T(g)) and number density ...

Structure–properties correlations in Fe chalcogenide superconductors

Chemical Society Reviews, 2012
The focus of this review article is on the PbO-type Fe chalcogenides that recently emerged as a new class of superconductors. The fundamental correlations between structural details and chemical compositions are discussed together with their influence on the electronic properties.

Structure-Property Correlation: XVI. Linear Molecules

Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2004
The structure-property correlation for linear molecules of the An type is represented by a simple function of n with a restricted number of parameters. The correlation is similar for all linear molecules with similar variations of all contributing values, so that related properties of any linear molecules vary similarly. This was exemplified by various

Graph theory in structure–property correlations

Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2016
The possibilities of the theoretical graph approach to the construction and interpretation of additive schemes for calculation and prediction are discussed. Working formulas are derived for calculating the thermodynamic properties of alkanes and their substitutes.

Structure property correlation in crosslinkable copolyimides

Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 1987
AbstractThree copolyimides containing crosslinkable alkyne groups either in the main chain backbone or as endgroups, have been synthesized and characterized in regard to their structure, molecular weight, solubility, film‐forming properties, crystallinity, crosslinking behavior, and thermal stability.

Structure property correlations for electrospun nanofiber nonwovens

Polymer, 2010
Highly porous nonwovens composed of nanofibers and produced by electrospinning are key elements in a broad range in technical but also in Life Science areas. Applications for gas or fluid filtration, textile applications, carriers for catalysts and scaffolds for tissue engineering are selected examples.

Gold-Nickel Multilayer Films: Structure-Property Correlations

MRS Proceedings, 1988
AbstractGold-nickel multilayer films with periods of 1.2 - 4.6 nm were deposited on silicon substrates by magnetron sputtering, and plan and cross-sectional specimens were examined by transmission electron microscopy. The cross-sectional specimens revealed well-defined layering and columnar growth features that extended through the film thickness. Dark
