Design of the engineering structure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou návrhu průmyslových hal a je zaměřena výhradně na návrh a posouzení krátkých konzol. První část práce tvoří překlad odborného textu prof. J. Schlaicha (E DIN 1045-1).

Deployable Tensegrity Reflectors for Small Satellites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Future small satellite missions require low-cost, precision reflector structures with large aperture that can be packaged in a small envelope. Existing furlable reflectors form a compact package which, although narrow, is too tall for many applications ...

Punching shear behavior of thick reinforced concrete slabs according to Strut-and-Tie model

open access: yesBudownictwo i Architektura, 2014
The punching shear behavior of thick reinforced concrete slabs was analyzed in this paper by using strut-and-tie model (S-T). Calculating procedures were compared to our own experimental test results.

Behaviour of traditional Portuguese timber roof structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The aim of this paper is to present the results of a structural analysis of common trusses traditionally used in roof construction in Portugal. The study includes the results of a preliminary survey intending to assess the geometry, materials and on site

Strut-and-tie models for deteriorated reinforced concrete half-joints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A reinforced concrete half-joint bridge consists of suspended span dapped-end beams or a full-width deck supported on the nibs of abutments or adjacent beams.

Behavior predictions of deep beams with short straight bar anchorages using strut-and-tie models and nonlinear analysis

open access: yesRevista IBRACON de Estruturas e Materiais
This paper investigates the laboratory test results of 12 deep beams available in the literature, where the longitudinal reinforcement was anchored into the support using short straight bar anchorages.

Strut-and-tie modelling of deep beams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A modified strut-and-tie model for deep beams was developed. Several significant improvements were made and gave rise to better prediction performance of deep beam shear strength, evaluated by 233 test results. No empirical stress limit was required and the concrete softening effect was embedded in the model.

Comparative assessment of strut models for the modelling of in-plane seismic response of infill walls [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The influence of infills on the seismic response of frame structures has long been recognised. Typically, stiffness and strength of the infill and connections between infill and frame are such that the infill affects the global seismic behaviour of the

Optimized Design of Anchor Plates for 2200 MPa-Class Prestressing Anchorage Zones

open access: yesBuildings
The strength of prestressed steel strands has developed towards high strength, increasing from 1860 MPa to over 2200 MPa. The stress in the prestressed anchorage zone is more concentrated and complex, and the anchor plates for dispersed loads need to be ...
