Community‐based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Programmes for rheumatic conditions: An acceptability and qualitative process evaluation study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Health Psychology, Volume 30, Issue 4, November 2025.
Abstract Purpose Dissemination and implementation of socially prescribed community‐based programmes for individuals with rheumatic conditions remain rare. However, such programmes can help overcome key barriers, including limited access to evidence‐based psychological interventions, individuals' preference for psychosocial care outside of rheumatology ...

The Dynamics of De‐Europeanisation in a Multilevel Context: Resistance and Power Politics in Scotland and Wales

open access: yesJCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 1845-1864, November 2025.
Abstract In recent years, theoretical models which seek to capture the dynamics of European integration and Europeanisation have turned their attention to new processes of disintegration and de‐Europeanisation, presenting new understandings of where politics, policy‐makers and public opinion have moved to roll back integration. In this article, looking

Misplaced fears? What the evidence reveals of the ecological effects of tidal power generation

open access: yesEcological Solutions and Evidence, Volume 6, Issue 4, October–December 2025.
Marine energy (tidal range and stream/flow) is a dependable and clean power source that stands out as a compelling alternative to fossil fuels. Despite widespread concerns surrounding the ecological effects of tidal energy infrastructure, we find few of these are substantiated by evidence or long‐term monitoring of existing tidal power projects.

Patterns and Processes of Genomic Evolution Inferred From the Ten Smallest Vertebrate Genomes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 38, October 13, 2025.
By integrating phylogenetic relationships derived from nuclear DNA with population genetic analyses across ten pufferfish species, the genetic differentiation mechanisms underpinning the radiative speciation of the most compact vertebrate genomes has elucidated.

A Frank Assessment of SHANK: Impacts of Pathogenic Variations in SHANK3 on Preclinical Models of Phelan McDermid Syndrome

open access: yesAutism Research, Volume 18, Issue 10, Page 1935-1964, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Although there are as many as 40 preclinical models of the neurodevelopmental disorder Phelan McDermid syndrome (PMS, or 22q13.3 deletion syndrome), detailed phenotypic analyses to compare the effects of different pathogenic variants and inform treatment design are lacking.
