Thermal behavior of aminotrimethoxysilanphosphonate functionalized onto styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Polymer Analysis and Characterization, 2020
The chlorometylated styrene–divinylbenzene copolymer with different percent of divinylbenzene (code: S-6.7 DVB, S-12DVB, and S-15DVB) was functionalized with 3-hydroxybenzaldehyde for obtaining intermediated polymers. The aminotrimethoxysilanphosphonate groups were grafted by one-pot reactions in tetrahydrofuran using three components: polymers grafted

Atmospheric Deposition of Organic Pollutants: A Comprehensive Review of Sampling and Analytical Methodologies

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 1, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Atmospheric deposition of organic pollutants plays a crucial role in the transport and fate of contaminants in the environment, with implications for ecosystem health and human exposure. Persistent organic pollutants (POPs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and microplastics are increasingly recognized as transboundary threats due to ...

Telomerization of Isoprene with Short Alcohols Using Novel Solid Molecular Phosphine Polymers

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Solid molecular catalysts based on triphenylphosphine and tris(o‐methoxyphenyl)phosphine were designed and loaded with palladium via pre‐loading or in‐situ‐loading for use in telomerization with short alcohols. The pre‐loaded catalyst proved to be significantly more active.

Synthesis of Monodisperse Low‐Crosslinked Polymer Microspheres With Sulfonic Acid by Precipitation Polymerization

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 7, Page 1553-1567, 1 April 2026.
An efficient strategy for preparing monodisperse crosslinked polymer microspheres with phenylsulfonate via precipitation polymerization has been successfully established. Monodisperse microspheres are successfully obtained using a designed crosslinker even when the total crosslinker content was below 20 mol%. All the polymer microspheres possess a well‐

Photochemical Aerobic Upcycling of Polystyrene Plastics via Indium Salt‐Mediated Synergistic Catalysis

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 5, 13 March 2026.
This study presents a practical aerobic photochemical strategy for the upcycling of polystyrene waste, combining bromine radical mediation with InBr3 catalysis. The approach efficiently depolymerizes diverse PS materials under mild conditions, yielding benzoic acid and enabling downstream production of value‐added compounds. The photochemical upcycling

Crossing the Blood–Brain Barrier with Molecularly Imprinted Polymeric Nanocarriers: An Emerging Frontier in Brain Disease Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
Molecularly imprinted polymeric nanocarriers (nanoMIPs) offer robust, antibody‐mimetic platforms to overcome the blood‐brain barrier. The article surveys nanoMIP design and ligand‐directed surface engineering that harness receptor‐mediated transcytosis, and highlights therapeutic and diagnostic applications in neurodegeneration, brain tumors and ...

Recovery of gangliosides from aqueous solutions on styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer columns [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2002
An investigation was made using a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer as a solid phase sorbent to recover gangliosides from aqueous solutions. A comparison with octadecyl-bonded (C18) silica gel showed that the general procedure used to purify gangliosides on C18 silica gel could be used with the copolymer.

A Comprehensive Review of Adsorbents for Rare Earth Separation: Design, Synthesis, Adsorption Performance, and Mechanisms

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Rare earth elements (REEs) play an irreplaceable role in modern technology and industry. However, due to the highly similar physicochemical properties among REEs, their separation remains a significant challenge. Additionally, REEs often exist in low‐concentration solutions, making efficient REE recovery an urgent task.
