Porous maleic anhydride–styrene–divinylbenzene copolymer beads

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, 1987
The formation of the porosity and the pore stability in maleic anhydride–styrene–divinylbenzene (MAn–St–DVB) copolymer beads were investigated using the apparent density measurements of the samples dried from methanol (maximum porosity) and from dioxane (stable porosity).

Recovery of gangliosides from aqueous solutions on styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer columns [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2002
An investigation was made using a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer as a solid phase sorbent to recover gangliosides from aqueous solutions. A comparison with octadecyl-bonded (C18) silica gel showed that the general procedure used to purify gangliosides on C18 silica gel could be used with the copolymer.

Telomerization of Isoprene with Short Alcohols Using Novel Solid Molecular Phosphine Polymers

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Solid molecular catalysts based on triphenylphosphine and tris(o‐methoxyphenyl)phosphine were designed and loaded with palladium via pre‐loading or in‐situ‐loading for use in telomerization with short alcohols. The pre‐loaded catalyst proved to be significantly more active.

Monomer Sequence Distribution in Butadiene Styrene Copolymers

open access: yes, 1970
A method is described for determining styrene sequence distribution in butadiene-styrene copolymers. An analog computer is used to resolve overlapped peaks in the styrene aromatic proton NMR spectrum. In n-BuLi copolymers a quite quantitative distinction

Synthesis of Monodisperse Low‐Crosslinked Polymer Microspheres With Sulfonic Acid by Precipitation Polymerization

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 7, Page 1553-1567, 1 April 2026.
An efficient strategy for preparing monodisperse crosslinked polymer microspheres with phenylsulfonate via precipitation polymerization has been successfully established. Monodisperse microspheres are successfully obtained using a designed crosslinker even when the total crosslinker content was below 20 mol%. All the polymer microspheres possess a well‐

Experimental design to evaluate the efficiency of maghemite nanoparticles incorporation in styrene‐divinylbenzene copolymers

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceAbstract Magnetized styrene‐divinylbenzene resins can be obtained by inserting superparamagnetic nanoparticles of maghemite (γ‐Fe 2 O 3 ) in the polymeric matrix.

The Sorption of a Polar Pollutant onto Micron-Sized Solids of Different Origins Under Environmentally Relevant Conditions and Assessment of Associated Toxicity Risks

open access: yesMicroplastics
The scientific literature lacks sufficient data on the transport of various toxic pollutants by polymer particles. Investigating how the structure of microplastic particles formed during the degradation of polymeric materials affects pollutant sorption ...

Photochemical Aerobic Upcycling of Polystyrene Plastics via Indium Salt‐Mediated Synergistic Catalysis

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 5, 13 March 2026.
This study presents a practical aerobic photochemical strategy for the upcycling of polystyrene waste, combining bromine radical mediation with InBr3 catalysis. The approach efficiently depolymerizes diverse PS materials under mild conditions, yielding benzoic acid and enabling downstream production of value‐added compounds. The photochemical upcycling

Crossing the Blood–Brain Barrier with Molecularly Imprinted Polymeric Nanocarriers: An Emerging Frontier in Brain Disease Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
Molecularly imprinted polymeric nanocarriers (nanoMIPs) offer robust, antibody‐mimetic platforms to overcome the blood‐brain barrier. The article surveys nanoMIP design and ligand‐directed surface engineering that harness receptor‐mediated transcytosis, and highlights therapeutic and diagnostic applications in neurodegeneration, brain tumors and ...

Synthesis and characterization of styrene-co-divinylbenzene-graft-linseed oil by free radical polymerization

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2008
A variety of opaque white to light yellow polymeric material have been prepared by two methods, one copolymerization of styrene (ST), divinylbenzene (DVB), and grafting of linseed oil (LIN), and the second involves the copolymerization of the same ...
