A Comprehensive Review of Adsorbents for Rare Earth Separation: Design, Synthesis, Adsorption Performance, and Mechanisms

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Rare earth elements (REEs) play an irreplaceable role in modern technology and industry. However, due to the highly similar physicochemical properties among REEs, their separation remains a significant challenge. Additionally, REEs often exist in low‐concentration solutions, making efficient REE recovery an urgent task.

Synthesis and characterization of composites with sulfonated styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, 2000
In this work light sulfonation was applied to a styrene copolymer crosslinked with divinylbenzene (PS-co-DVB). Subsequently the product was incorporated at different concentrations into poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM). Also, antimonic acid (HSb) was added.

Perchloric Acid, an Effective Catalyst for Thermosetting Self‐Crosslinking Hydroxy Acrylic Resins

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 4, January 20, 2026.
Perchloric acid is an effective catalyst for the crosslinking of hydroxy acrylate resins. Its action is based on the intermediate formation of alkyl perchloric esters. Transesterification gives volatile alkyl perchlorates that evaporate to give a catalyst‐free resin.

Sequence distribution and intramolecular excimer formation in styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers

open access: yes, 1982
Styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers, like many other copolymers containing styrene, exhibit both normal and excimer fluorescence. We have shown that the ratio of the excimer to monomer fluorescence intensities in random styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers is ...

A Degradable Device for Sustainable Capillary Blood Sampling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 2, 22 January 2026.
The device features a compostable 3D‐printed storage compartment for liquid blood collection and a degradable, poly(ɛ‐caprolactone)‐coated magnesium microneedle patch hidden within a suction cup. Manual compression deploys the MNs, creating small skin punctures, and the subsequent release of compression generates the negative pressure required for ...
