Data_Sheet_1_Genome-Wide Identification and Analysis of the Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase Gene Family in Suaeda aralocaspica, an Annual Halophyte With Single-Cellular C4 Anatomy.docx

open access: yes, 2021
Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC) plays pivotal roles in the carbon fixation of photosynthesis and a variety of metabolic and stress pathways. Suaeda aralocaspica belongs to a single-cellular C4 species and carries out a photosynthetic pathway in an

Genome‐wide analysis of DNA methyltransferases in a model extremophyte, Schrenkiella parvula: Transcriptional dynamics during development and under salt stress

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, Volume 189, Issue 1, July 2026.
Classification of DMTs into 4 subfamilies: two METs, three CMTs, three DRMs, and one DNMT2. The cis‐elements are associated with stress‐response, hormonal regulation, light‐response, and development. RNA‐seq analysis revealed differential expression of DMTs under NaCl stress.

Population‐specific germination and physiochemical responses of Aeluropus lagopoides seeds to salinity under controlled conditions

open access: yesPlant Species Biology, Volume 41, Issue 1, January 2026.
Our findings show significant population‐specific variations in the germination and physiochemical responses of Aeluropus lagopoides seeds to salinity stress. Seeds from both populations were nondormant, as they germinated maximally in water; however, those from the more saline and drier Hawke's Bay habitat exhibited enhanced salt tolerance, higher ...

Provenance Variation in Seed, Seedling, and Early Growth Traits of Red Jabon (Neolamarckia macrophylla): An Endemic Species From Sulawesi and Maluku, Indonesia

open access: yesInternational Journal of Forestry Research, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The availability of seed quality and tree growth information of red jabon (Neolamarckia macrophylla (Roxb.) Bosser) from different provenances is necessary to assess and optimize the utilization of its genetic resources. The research aimed to examine the variations in morphophysiological traits of seeds, seedlings, early tree growth, and pilodyn ...

Oil content and fatty acid composition of dimorphic seeds of desert halophyte Suaeda aralocaspica

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Agricultural Research, 2012
Suaeda aralocaspica, a desert annual halophyte in the family Chenopodiaceae, produces two morphologically distinct types of seeds on the same plant. The two types of seeds were separated and analysed for oil content and fatty acid composition in order to evaluate and compare their potential as a source of edible oil.

NO EVIDENCE FOR DIFFERENTIAL BIOMASS AND MINERAL CONTENT IN ADULT PLANTS GROWN FROM DIMORPHIC SUAEDA ARALOCASPICA SEEDS

open access: yes, 2016
The production of two or more seed types by a single plant is known as seed heteromorphism. There have been many comparisons of seed traits or growth between plants grown from heteromorphic seeds.

Recent progress in the single-cell C4 photosynthesis in terrestrial plants

open access: yes, 2012
Currently, single-cell C4 photosynthesis has been reported in four terrestrial plant species, Bienertia cycloptera, B. sinuspersici, B. kavirense and Suaeda aralocaspica, of family Chenopodiaceae.

种子异型植物异子蓬的生殖分配和结实格局/Reproductive allocation and fruit-set pattern of seed-heteromorphic plant Suaeda aralocaspica[J]

open access: yes, 2012
