Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Expectation Propagation for Rectified Linear Poisson Regression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The Poisson likelihood with rectified linear function as non-linearity is a physically plausible model to discribe the stochastic arrival process of photons or other particles at a detector. At low emission rates the discrete nature of this process leads

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Disruption and luminosity of flat beams [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
It has been suggested (ref.1) that high energy linear colliders might operate with non-round beam profiles, i.e. with different sigma/sub x/ and sigma/sub y/, described by an aspect ratio R = sigma/sub y/sigma/sub x/.

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Terminal conditions as efficent instruments for numerical detection of the saddlepoint paths: a linear algebra non-robustness argument [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
In this paper, we address a criticism against the usual prescriptions on the introduction of terminal conditions as the principal numerical instruments for detecting the saddlepoint solutions of consistent expectations models. The argumentation is purely

Linearization of Expectation-Based Inequality Conditions in Control for Discrete-Time Linear Systems Represented with Random Polytopes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceA technique of linearizing what we call expectation-based inequality conditions is proposed for control of discrete-time linear systems with stochastic dynamics.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

The limit points of the strong law of large numbers under the sub-linear expectations

open access: yes, 2023
Let $\{X_n;n\ge 1\}$ be a sequence of independent and identically distributed random variables in a regular sub-linear expectation space $(Ω,\mathscr{H},\widehat{\mathbb E})$ with the finite Choquet expectation, upper mean $\overlineμ $ and lower mean $\underlineμ $.
