Employing Hybrid sub-Nyquist Sampling Rates to Support Heterogeneous Services of Varying Capacity in 25-Gbps DDM-OFDM-PON

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
Delay-division-multiplexing (DDM) involves the use of signal preprocessing for the detection of data via sub-Nyquist analog-to-digital sampling, based on preallocated relative sampling delays among optical network users (ONUs) in an orthogonal frequency ...

Random sub-Nyquist polarimetric modulator [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Optics, 2016
We show that it is possible to measure polarization with a polarimeter that gets rid of the seeing while still measuring at a frequency well below that of the seeing. We study a standard polarimeter made of two retarders and a beamsplitter. The retarders are modulated at $\sim 500$ Hz, a frequency comparable to that of the variations of the refraction ...

Low Complexity Sub-Nyquist Wideband Spectrum Sensing for Cognitive Radio

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In order to provide more available spectrum and quickly switchover, wideband spectrum sensing (WSS) is desirable for cognitive radio. Sub-Nyquist sampling is crucial for WSS to reduce energy and computational costs, while the existing algorithms based on

Sub-Nyquist Sampling in Shift-Invariant Spaces

open access: yes2020 28th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO), 2021
We introduce a novel framework for acquisition of analog signals by combining compressive sensing (CS) and the shift-invariant (SI) reconstruction procedure. We reinterpret the random demodulator as a system that acquires a linear combination of the samples in the conventional SI setting with the box function as the sampling kernel.

Sub-Nyquist processing with the modulated wideband converter [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2010
Sub-Nyquist systems capture the signal information in a different fashion than uniform high-rate samples. Consequently, digital processing, which is the prime reason for leaving the analog domain, becomes challenging. We propose a digital algorithm that translates samples obtained by the modulated wideband converter, a recent sub-Nyquist system, to the

Deception Jamming Against ISAR With Coupled Two-Dimensional Compressive Sensing via Sub-Nyquist Sampling

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Sub-Nyquist sampling is a common means of interfering with inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging, which has been validated for the feasibility of 1-D compressive sensing (CS) ISAR imaging.

Wideband Power Spectrum Estimation Based on Sub-Nyquist Sampling in Cognitive Radio Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The wideband spectrum estimation is an essential step in the wireless network. In order to avoid employing power-hungry high-rate analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), the CS-based sub-Nyquist sampling approaches are used to estimate the wideband spectrum.
