1977The attenuation of the normal C.S.F. is lower than that of the brain, about 5 Hounsfield units as compared to 15 and 18 for the white and grey matter respectively. This fact makes possible visualization of the ventricular system, the subarachnoid cisterns and the cerebral sulci.
