Max- relative entropy of coherence: an operational coherence measure

open access: yes, 2017
The operational characterization of quantum coherence is the corner stone in the development of resource theory of coherence. We introduce a new coherence quantifier based on max-relative entropy.

Coalitional Games with Overlapping Coalitions for Interference Management in Small Cell Networks

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we study the problem of cooperative interference management in an OFDMA two-tier small cell network. In particular, we propose a novel approach for allowing the small cells to cooperate, so as to optimize their sum-rate, while ...

Adaptive subchannel allocation in multiuser multicarrier systems

open access: yesIET Communications, 2007
The problem of multiuser scheduling in multicarrier (MC) systems under practical physical-layer constraints and implementations is considered. Subchannel allocation is an important resource assignment issue in multiuser MC systems. The multiuser scheduler is decoupled into a multiuser selector and a subchannel allocator, which result in a sub-optimum ...

Experimental Investigation of Sensitivity for Coal and Gas Outburst Risk Prediction Indexes in Raw and Tectonic Composite Coal Seams

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
A comparative study was conducted on gas desorption laws of raw and tectonic coals. The sensitivity of regional and local outburst prediction indexes was compared. Gas content is more sensitive than gas pressure for composite coal seams. K1 can more accurately predict the outburst danger than Δh2 $\Delta {h}_{2}$ in composite coal seams.

Study on Flow Structure Characteristics Along the Latticework Duct Subchannels and Classification Boundary Prediction

open access: yesAerospace
To reasonably divide the types of flow units along the latticework subchannel, one must prepare for the establishment of a one-dimensional fluid network model of the latticework in the middle region of the turbine blade.

Power and Bandwidth Efficient Coded Modulation for Linear Gaussian Channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A scheme for power- and bandwidth-efficient communication on the linear Gaussian channel is proposed. A scenario is assumed in which the channel is stationary in time and the channel characteristics are known at the transmitter.

New Concept of PLC Modems: Multi-Carrier System for Frequency Selective Slow-Fading Channels Based on Layered SCCC Turbocodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The article introduces a novel concept of a PLC modem as a complement to the existing G3 and PRIME standards for communications using medium- or high-voltage overhead or cable lines.

Prediction of Single-Phase Turbulent Mixing Rate between Subchannels Using Subchannel Geometry Factor.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series B, 1995
We present a method for calculating the single-phase turbulent mixing rate between subchannels in nuclear fuel rod bundles. In this method, the mixing rate is calculated using a newly defined subchannel geometry factor, which depends only on the geometry of the subchannel cross section, and the mean turbulent diffusivity computed from Elder's ...

Wafer‐Scale Split‐Channel a‐IGZO TFTs for Hump‐Free and Stress‐Robust Operation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 8, 20 April 2026.
This work identifies plasma‐induced edge region oxygen vacancies as the true origin of the hump in a‐IGZO TFTs and introduces a wafer‐scale split‐channel architecture that fully suppresses this instability. The simple mask‐level design achieves hump‐free and stress‐robust operation with significantly enhanced current drivability, offering a practical ...

Resource Management Based on Security Satisfaction Ratio with Fairness-Aware in Two-Way Relay Networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2015
Information security has been received more and more attention for next-generation wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we consider the problem of resource management based on security satisfaction ratio with fairness-aware in two-way relay networks.
