Bit Loading Algorithms for Cooperative OFDM Systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2007
We investigate the resource allocation problem for an OFDM cooperative network with a single source-destination pair and multiple relays. Assuming knowledge of the instantaneous channel gains for all links in the entire network, we propose several bit ...

Closed‐Form Approximation of Average Error Probability With Finite‐Blocklength Coding Over Lognormal Wireless Communication Links

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This work extends the Polyanskiy‐Poor‐Verdu (PPV) framework to lognormal wireless links. Specifically, the paper derives a closed‐form approximation for the average error probability under lognormal distribution, effectively generalizing the PPV analysis beyond the additive white Gaussian noise assumption.

RSU‐Assisted Resource Map Sharing to Enhance Reliability in 5G NR V2X Mode 2

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 62, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Wireless blind spots (WBS) cause persistent collisions in 5G new radio vehicle‐to‐everything Mode 2 sensing‐based semi‐persistent scheduling due to hidden terminals and half‐duplex sensing. We propose roadside unit‐assisted resource map sharing service (RMSS) that shares an occupancy bitmap via PC5 or bitmap+RC via Uu for delay‐compensated ...

Synchronization Algorithms and Receiver Structures for Multiuser Filter Bank Uplink Systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2009
We address the synchronization problem in an uplink multiuser filter bank system. The system differs from orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) since it deploys subchannel frequency confined pulses. User multiplexing is still accomplished

Experimental Study on Heat Transfer Characteristics of Rod Bundle Channel in Natural Circulation under Rolling Motion Condition

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu
Affected by sea wind and waves, the floating nuclear power plant (FNPP) would be in rolling motion during operation. The rolling motion will introduce fluctuated inertial force periodically, resulting in periodic thermal and hydraulic parameters ...

Analysis of Subchannel and Rod Bundle PSBT Experiments with CATHARE 3

open access: yesScience and Technology of Nuclear Installations, 2012
This paper presents the assessment of CATHARE 3 against PWR subchannel and rod bundle tests of the PSBT benchmark. Noticeable measurements were the following: void fraction in single subchannel and rod bundle, multiple liquid temperatures at subchannel ...

Practical Resource Allocation Algorithms for QoS in OFDMA-based Wireless Systems

open access: yes, 2007
In this work we propose an efficient resource allocation algorithm for OFDMA based wireless systems supporting heterogeneous traffic. The proposed algorithm provides proportionally fairness to data users and short term rate guarantees to real-time users.

A Hybrid Dynamic Sand Cat Swarm Optimisation (HD‐SCSO) Approach for Resource Allocation in Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesIET Wireless Sensor Systems, Volume 16, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
The hybrid dynamic sand cat swarm optimisation (HD‐SCSO) approach introduces a bioinspired method to enhance energy efficiency, data transmission and resource fairness in WSNs. Through adaptive clustering, intelligent node selection and real‐time adjustments, HD‐SCSO ensures optimised performance, extended network lifetime and seamless IoT integration,
