Experimental Study of Void Fraction and Interfacial Area Concentration Distribution Characteristics in Rod Bundle Subchannel

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu
The gas-liquid two-phase flow widely exists in nuclear energy, chemical industry, petroleum engineering, and other industrial production fields. Two-phase flow will occur in pressurized water reactors during normal operation and accident conditions.

Joint Scheduling and Resource Allocation in the OFDMA Downlink: Utility Maximization under Imperfect Channel-State Information

open access: yes, 2011
We consider the problem of simultaneous user-scheduling, power-allocation, and rate-selection in an OFDMA downlink, with the goal of maximizing expected sum-utility under a sum-power constraint.

On the Pointwise Threshold Behavior of the Binary Erasure Polarization Subchannels

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2017
It is shown that when Ankan's n-level polarization transformation is applied to the binary erasure channel, each of the resulting individual 2n subchannels has a sharp threshold, for sufficiently large n.

Full‐Scale Simulation and Performance Improvement of PEMFCs With Different Flow Channel Cross‐Sections

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Flow‐channel design plays a decisive role in the performance and water management of large‐scale proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells (PEMFCs), especially for parallel flow fields (FFs) that feature low pressure drop but are prone to flow maldistribution.

Numerical Study and Optimization of a Bionic Leaf Vein‐Inspired Flow Field for Enhanced Oxygen Expulsion in Proton Exchange Membrane Electrolysis Cell

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This study presents a comprehensive investigation of a biomimetic leaf vein‐inspired flow field to enhance oxygen expulsion efficiency in proton exchange membrane electrolysis cells (PEMECs). Traditional flow fields face limitations in achieving uniform reactant distribution and efficient product removal, which significantly impact overall system ...
