Framework for Task Offloading in O‐RAN Architecture for Heterogeneous Computing Applications

open access: yesTransactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, Volume 37, Issue 2, February 2026.
This work proposes a task offloading framework in ORAN architecture, optimizing computational assignment across user devices, edge cloud, and regional cloud. By efficiently selecting processing nodes and allocating computational and radio resources, it minimizes delay while accommodating diverse latency requirements for gold, silver, and bronze‐tier ...

Downlink resource management for OFDMA femtocells using stochastic subchannel allocation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The Femtocell becomes an effective solution to support indoor high data rate services. The macrocell systems require expensive costs to improve the performance of indoor users. Although the advantage of the femtocells, the co-channel interference between

Enhancing Federated Learning in IoT: A Quality‐Based Incentive Mechanism With Stackelberg Game Modelling

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper proposes a quality‐based incentive mechanism for federated learning (FL) in Internet of Things (IoT) systems using a Stackelberg game framework. The mechanism rewards clients based on the quality of their uploaded models, ensuring fairness and motivating higher‐quality contributions.

Synchronization Algorithms and Receiver Structures for Multiuser Filter Bank Uplink Systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2009
We address the synchronization problem in an uplink multiuser filter bank system. The system differs from orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) since it deploys subchannel frequency confined pulses. User multiplexing is still accomplished

Efficient resource allocation algorithms for high energy efficiency with fairness among users in OFDMA networks

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2020
In this article, we devise two efficient radio resource allocation algorithms in order to increase fair energy efficiency among users of OFDMA networks.

Closed‐Form Approximation of Average Error Probability With Finite‐Blocklength Coding Over Lognormal Wireless Communication Links

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This work extends the Polyanskiy‐Poor‐Verdu (PPV) framework to lognormal wireless links. Specifically, the paper derives a closed‐form approximation for the average error probability under lognormal distribution, effectively generalizing the PPV analysis beyond the additive white Gaussian noise assumption.

RSU‐Assisted Resource Map Sharing to Enhance Reliability in 5G NR V2X Mode 2

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 62, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
Wireless blind spots (WBS) cause persistent collisions in 5G new radio vehicle‐to‐everything Mode 2 sensing‐based semi‐persistent scheduling due to hidden terminals and half‐duplex sensing. We propose roadside unit‐assisted resource map sharing service (RMSS) that shares an occupancy bitmap via PC5 or bitmap+RC via Uu for delay‐compensated ...

Distributed resource allocation with imperfect spectrum sensing information and channel uncertainty in cognitive femtocell networks

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2017
To meet the ever-increasing demands of mobile traffic, femtocells are considered as one of the promising solutions. In this paper, we study a sensing-based resource allocation scenario in cognitive femtocell networks and present an efficient distributed ...

Subchannel allocation for vehicle-to-vehicle broadcast communications in mode-3 [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2018
Conversely to mainstream cellular networks where uplink / downlink data traffic is centrally managed by eN-odeBs, in vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) broadcast communications mode-3 eNodeBs engage solely in subchannel assignment but ultimately do not intervene ...
