Ecologically‐Valid Emotion Signatures Enhance Mood Disorder Diagnostics
This study identifies ecologically‐valid Divergent Emotional Functional Networks (DEFN), derived from dynamic functional connectivity during naturalistic movie watching. The DEFN reliably enhances diagnostic accuracy for mood disorders, including major depressive and bipolar disorders, demonstrating strong reproducibility across demographic factors and

Abstract Neuromodulatory subcortical systems (NSSs) are uniquely susceptible to dementia‐related pathology, leading to frequent molecular and behavioral impairments associated with altered function of these nuclei. Some of these systems display clear sex‐specific cytoarchitecture and signaling leading to distinct physiology and behavioral outputs in ...

Subcortical structures and visual divergent thinking: a resting-state functional MRI analysis
An increasing number of studies have found that a few, specific subcortical regions are involved in creative visual divergent thinking. In addition, creative thinking is heavily reliant on the fronto-striatal dopaminergic pathways.

Anatomical Progression of Neuropathology in FTLD‐TDP Type C and Linkage to Annexin A11
Objective Frontotemporal lobar degenerations (FTLD)‐TDP type C (TDP‐C) is distinguished from other FTLD‐TDP subtypes by 3 unique features: (1) invariable onset in the anterior temporal lobe (ATL), (2) phosphorylated TDP‐43 (pTDP) neurites in cortex, and (3) colocalization of all pTDP deposits with annexin A11 (ANXA11).

ABSTRACT To explore associations of vestibular disorders with all‐cause and cause‐specific dementia and underlying biological mechanisms/neuroimaging changes. A population‐based cohort study of 406,348 UK Biobank participants was conducted. Inverse probability of treatment weighting (IPTW) balanced baseline covariates, and Cox proportional hazards ...

Longitudinal monitoring of tau aggregation in progressive supranuclear palsy with [18F]PI‐2620 PET
Abstract INTRODUCTION Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), a 4‐repeat tauopathy, can be visualized using [18F]PI‐2620 tau positron emission tomography (PET). However, the value of sequential [18F]PI‐2620 imaging for tracking tau accumulation during the disease course has not yet been investigated.

Cerebellar and subcortical contributions to working memory manipulation
Working memory is critical for manipulating and temporarily storing information during cognitive tasks such as problem-solving. Most models focus primarily on cortical-cortical interactions, neglecting subcortical and cerebellar contributions.
