Pulsations driven by the ɛ-mechanism in post-merger remnants: First results
Helium-rich subdwarfs are a rare subclass of hot subdwarf stars which constitute a small and inhomogeneous group showing varying degrees of helium enrichment. Only one star, LS IV °14 116 has been found to show multiperiodic luminosity variations.

Se-ResNet+SVM Model: An Effective Method of Searching for Hot Subdwarfs from LAMOST
This paper presents a robust neural network approach for identifying hot subdwarfs. Our method leveraged the Squeeze-and-Excitation Residual Network to extract abstract features, which were combined with experience features to create hybrid features ...

Chemical fingerprints of He-sdO stars
The chemical composition of helium-rich hot subluminous O stars plays an important role to understand and model their formation history. We present a spectroscopic analysis of four He-sdO stars,CD-31° 4800, [CW83] 0904- 02, LSS 1274 and LS IV +10° 9. The

Summary of Eighth Meeting on Hot Subdwarfs and Related Objects
Subjects discussed during the Eighth Meeting on Hot Subdwarfs and Related Objects are summarised. In particular, a succinct presentation is given of challenges to stellar evolution arising from recent observations.

Evolved stars with a helium core can be formed by non-conservative mass exchange interaction with a companion or by strong mass loss. Their masses are smaller than 0.5 M⊙. In the database of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), there are several thousand

The Solar Neighborhood. XLII. Parallax Results from the CTIOPI 0.9 m Program—Identifying New Nearby Subdwarfs Using Tangential Velocities and Locations on the H–R Diagram [PDF]
Parallaxes, proper motions, and optical photometry are presented for 51 systems consisting of 37 cool subdwarf and 14 additional high proper motion systems. Thirty-seven systems have parallaxes reported for the first time, 15 of which have proper motions

Investigation of the Nature of the B[e] Star CI Cam in the Optical Range
The B[e] phenomenon is observed in a wide range of stars at various evolutionary stages. Its nature remains uncertain. The B[e] phenomenon is defined as the simultaneous presence of low-excitation forbidden line emission and strong infrared excess in the

An additional pulsating mode (7.35 mHz) and pulsations timing variations of PG 1613+426
We present the detection of an additional pulsation mode (7.35 mHz) of a subdwarf B star, PG 1613+426, and periodic Observed minus Calculated (O-C) variations for two existing pulsations. PG 1613+426 is near the hot end of the sdB instability strip.

We present a near-infrared spectroscopic study of HD 114762B, the latest-type metal-poor companion discovered to date and the only ultracool subdwarf with a known metallicity, inferred from the primary star to be [Fe/H] = -0.7.
