The contradictory role of the sales assistant: superordination and subordination
International Journal of Work Organisation and Emotion, 2014The social relationship between sales assistants and customers has often been described as relatively one-sided one in which sales assistants are subordinate to customers. One of the ways in which the subordination of sales assistants is manifested is when customers treat them badly, for instance in the form of verbal and physical abuse.

A class of integral operators preserving subordination and superordination
Complex Variables and Elliptic Equations, 2013In this article, we obtain the subordination- and superordination-preserving properties of certain nonlinear integral operators defined on the space of normalized analytic functions in the open unit disk. A sandwich-type theorem for these integral operators is also presented.

Subordination and Superordination Results for Komatu Integral Transforms
Journal of Dynamical Systems and Geometric Theories, 2009Abstract Let A be the class of all normalized analytic functions f (z) in the open unit disk satisfying f (0) = 0 and f′(0) = 1. Let q 1 and q 2 be univalent in Δ with q 1(0) = q 2(0) = 1. We give some applications of first order differential subordination and superordination to obtain sufficient conditions for a normalized analytic functions f with f (

Subordination and Superordination Properties for Convolution Operator
2015In present paper a certain convolution operator of analytic functions is defined. Moreover, subordination and superordination- preserving properties for a class of analytic operators defined on the space of normalized analytic functions in the open unit disk is obtained.

Cross-Category Differences in the Processing of Subordinate-Superordinate Relationships
Child Development, 1982SPERBER, RICHARD D.; DAVIES, DEBORAH; MERRILL, EDWARD C.; and McCAULEY, CHARLEY. Cross-Category Differences in the Processing of Subordinate-Superordinate Relationships. CHILD DEVELOPMENT, 1982, 53, 1249-1253. We compared developmental changes in the processing of subordinate-superordinate relationships across 2 types of categories: perceptual, which ...

Summary,—It was hypothesized that a basic preference for categorizing events in a subordinate direction (genus-species) would characterize highly creative scientists and designers, while their less creative peers would prefer to categorize first in a superordinate direction (species-genus).
