A Substitute for the Water Box in the Original EMI Brain Scanner

A modified water box for the EMI brain scanner is described. The modified box permits parts of the body other than the brain to be scanned. The patient setup for brain scans is simplified, and motion artifacts have almost disappeared.

Existing literature shows that genetic algorithms can be successfully used for automated construction of S-boxes. In this paper we show the usage of genetic algorithm, more specifically NSGA-II, as an aid in designing and testing of invertible substitution boxes which are special case of substitution boxes.

The aim of this study is to construct s-box designs with the best performance criteria for all chaotic system classes. The proposed method achieves the best s-box designs for all chaotic systems classes.
