Design and Implementation of a New 4 × 4 BFN Using Multi‐Aperture and Multislot Coupler for 5G Application

open access: yesInternational Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This paper proposes a 4 × 4 beamforming network (BFN) using a novel configuration. The proposed architecture utilizes a two‐layer multi‐aperture and multislot coupler (MA/MSC). Power coupling between ports within each layer is achieved through designed apertures.

Design of a Low-SLL SIW Slot Array Antenna With a Large Declination in $Ka$ -Band

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A small-size large-declination longitudinal slot array antenna based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology was proposed. Compared with the conventional SIW slot array, the proposed antenna achieves a larger declination and a lower SLL.

Microstrip Patch Antennas Fed by Substrate Integrated Waveguide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Dizertační práce je zaměřena na výzkum mikropáskových flíčkových antén a anténních řad napájených vlnovodem integrovaným do substrátu (SIW). Využitím vlnovodu integrovaného do substrátu pro napájení mikropáskové flíčkové antény dochází ke kombinaci ...

Efficient Frequency Sweep in RF Devices Simulation: A Combined Approach of Asymptotic Waveform Evaluation and Multigrid Solver

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 11, November 2025.
A combined AWE‐Multigrid approach accelerates RF frequency sweeping by reducing computation time and resources through asymptotic expansions and multilevel grid resolution, validated by numerical experiments demonstrating superior performance over traditional methods.

Compact dual‐layer substrate‐integrated waveguide bandpass filters with controllable transmission zeros

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2021
A design method for compact substrate‐integrated waveguide (SIW) bandpass filters (BPF) with controllable finite transmission zeros (FTZs) is proposed in this work, which is realised by a dual‐layer SIW structure with two single‐mode SIW cavities in the ...

High‐Performance Multiport Antenna With Frequency Selective Surface for 5G Ka‐Band Applications

open access: yesRadio Science, Volume 60, Issue 11, November 2025.
Abstract This paper presents a novel multiport antenna tailored for 5G millimeter‐wave (mm‐Wave) applications. The proposed design features orthogonally arranged radiating elements to ensure compactness with an overall footprint of just 20 × 26 mm2.

Electronically tunable graphene-based half-mode SIW phase shifter [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
This paper presents a proof of concept for the first graphene-based half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (GHMSIW) phase shifter. The GHMSIW phase shifter comprises a half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) transmission line and a single stub ...

AGORA: Adaptive Generation of Orthogonal Rational Approximations for Frequency‐Response Data

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, Volume 53, Issue 10, Page 5751-5759, October 2025.
This paper introduces the adaptive generation of orthogonal rational approximations (AGORA) method for rational function approximation of measured or simulated microwave network parameters. AGORA allows estimating the model order for a given error tolerance and does not require any initial estimates or adjustment of hyperparameters. ABSTRACT This paper
