360° Beam‐Steering Substrate‐Integrated Waveguide Horn Antenna Loaded Monopole Array for Millimetre‐Wave Communications

A millimetre‐wave tilting beam‐steering substrate‐integrated waveguide (SIW) horn antenna is proposed for millimetre‐wave communications. The measured results indicate that an impedance bandwidth below |S_{11}| < −10 dB from 25.60 to 27.72 GHz, with a peak gain of 10.5 dBi and a front‐to‐back ratio (FTBR) exceeding 15 dB.

Amplitude Tapered Leaky‐Wave Antennas in Bent Additively Manufactured Nonradiative Dielectric Waveguides

We introduce a simple approach to taper the amplitude distribution in leaky‐wave antennas by exploiting a nonradiative dielectric waveguide topology. By shaping the dielectric section, the longitudinal attenuation constant and therefore the amplitude distribution can be easily controlled to lower side lobe levels.
