Adjuvanted Herpes Zoster Subunit Vaccine

Future Virology, 2015
This review highlights the characteristics of a candidate herpes zoster (HZ) vaccine (HZ/su, GlaxoSmithKline Vaccines) that consists of 50 μg recombinant glycoprotein E (gE) of varicella zoster virus adjuvanted with AS01B. It is well tolerated and shows a clinically acceptable tolerability profile.

[Polysaccharide subunit vaccines].

La Revue du praticien, 1995
The polysaccharide capsules of many germs (pneumococcus, meningococcus, Haemophilus b, salmonella, etc.) can induce synthesis of protective antibodies in man. The development of many vaccines has been based on this phenomenon. Unfortunately, the polysaccharide antigens cannot trigger an immune response before the age of 2 years.

Development of Subunit Paramyxoviridae Vaccines

1994
The Paramyxoviridae are negative-stranded, non-segmented RNA viruses which share similar structural features (Pringle, 1991). The helically symmetrical viral nucleocapsids are surrounded by a lipoprotein envelope. The Paramyxoviridae family has been classified into three genera: Paramyxovirus, Morbillivirus and Pneumovirus.

[Tolerance of preventive influenza vaccination with a subunit vaccine].

Gesundheitswesen (Bundesverband der Arzte des Offentlichen Gesundheitsdienstes (Germany)), 1994
The frequency and intensity of undesirable side effects after protective vaccination against influenza with a commercially available vaccine were studied. 82 gainfully employed persons of both sexes were questioned in respect of local reactions such as weal and flare reactions, itching, sensation of heat, tenderness on pressure, and impeded movement ...
