Finding maximal torsion cosets on varieties
We describe a new algorithm for finding all maximal torsion cosets on varieties over $\G_m^n$. We illustrate the algorithm with some examples. The starting point for this study is the search for points on a given variety whose coordinates are roots of ...

Subvariety structures in certain product varieties of groups
We classify certain cases when the wreath products of distinct pairs of groups generate the same variety. This allows us to investigate the subvarieties of some nilpotent-by-abelian product varieties

Product of Local Points of Subvarieties of Almost Isotrivial Semi-Abelian Varieties Over a Global Function Field [PDF]
For a semi-abelian variety over a global function field which is isogenous to an isotrivial one, we show that on the product of local points of a subvariety satisfying a minor condition, the topological closure of a finitely generated subgroup of %the group of its global points cuts out exactly the global points of the subvariety lying in this subgroup.

The modular automorphisms of quotient modular curves
Abstract We obtain the modular automorphism group of any quotient modular curve of level N$N$, with 4,9∤N$4,9\nmid N$. In particular, we obtain some unexpected automorphisms of order 3 that appear for the quotient modular curves when the Atkin–Lehner involution w25$w_{25}$ belongs to the quotient modular group. We also prove that such automorphisms are

On the Torsion Anomalous Conjecture in CM abelian varieties
International audienceThe Torsion Anomalous Conjecture (TAC) states that a subvariety V of an abelian variety A has only finitely many maximal torsion anomalous subvarieties. In this work we prove, with an effective method, some cases of the TAC when the

HIGHER DIMENSIONAL SHIMURA VARIETIES IN THE PRYM LOCI OF RAMIFIED DOUBLE COVERS
In this paper we construct Shimura subvarieties of dimension bigger than one of the moduli space of polarised abelian varieties of a given dimension, which are generically contained in the Pym loci of (ramified) double covers.

Basepoint-freeness thresholds and higher syzygies on abelian threefolds
For a polarized abelian variety, Z. Jiang and G. Pareschi introduce an invariant and show that the polarization is basepoint free or projectively normal if the invariant is small. Their result is generalized to higher syzygies by F.
