An overlapping subzone technique for MR-based elastic property reconstruction [PDF]

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, 1999
A finite element-based nonlinear inversion scheme for magnetic resonance (MR) elastography is detailed. The algorithm operates on small overlapping subzones of the total region of interest, processed in a hierarchical order as determined by progressive error minimization.

A new species of Garjainia Ochev, 1958 (Diapsida: Archosauriformes: Erythrosuchidae) from the Early Triassic of South Africa. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
A new species of the erythrosuchid archosauriform reptile Garjainia Ochev, 1958 is described on the basis of disarticulated but abundant and well-preserved cranial and postcranial material from the late Early Triassic (late Olenekian) Subzone A of the ...

DISCUSSION SUR L'AGE MURGABIEN OU MIDIEN DES SERIES PERMIENNES DU JEBEL TEBAGA (SUD DE LA TUNISIE)

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 2017
A biostratigraphical analysis of Jebel Tebaga (Tunisia) is given. The Permian is divided in two zones: Afghanella zone of Middle-Upper Murgabian age; and Neoschwagerina, Yabeina and Dunbarula zone of Upper Murgabian- Lower Midian age, himself divided in ...

THE PRATI DI STUORES/STUORES WIESEN SECTION (DOLOMITES, ITALY): A CANDIDATE GLOBAL STRATOTYPE SECTION AND POINT FOR THE BASE OF THE CARNIAN STAGE

open access: yesRivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia, 1999
The Prati di Stuores/Stuores Wiesen section (Dolomites, Italy) is proposed as a candidate Global Stratotype Section and Point for the base of the Carnian Stage. In addition to being a famous, richly fossiliferous locality, it includes the type-section of

Evolutionary radiation of large‐bodied gorgonopsians from the lower Abrahamskraal formation of South Africa

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The middle Permian represents a critical interval in therapsid evolution, when gorgonopsians emerged as some of the first specialized apex predators within terrestrial ecosystems. Despite their significance, the early diversification of Gorgonopsia in Gondwana remains poorly understood due to scarcity and fragmentary material.

Subzonal insemination with primary spermatocytes in mouse

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 1997
IT is well known that oocytes, in general condition, can be penetrated by sperm rather thanround spermatids. In 1993, Ogura injected round spermatid nuclei into hamster oocytes anddemonstrated that the spermatid nuclei could transform into pronuclei with DNA synthesis andthat their chromosomes mingled with oocyte chromosomes immediately.
