Personality Characteristics and Personal History Data of Successful and Less Successful Executives

From a population of 150 executives employed by a medium-sized utilities company, 30 highly successful and 30 less successful executives were selected on the basis of (1) salary level, (2) company job title, (3) job number as listed in the Hayes salary survey, and (4) appraisal performance ratings. Age and length of service were controlled.
