Alfalfa establishment with sorghum–sudangrass as a companion crop [PDF]
AbstractReduced first‐year yields and competition from weeds often limits alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) planting and establishment. This study was conducted to evaluate sorghum–sudangrass (Sorghum bicolor × S. bicolor var. sudanese) use as a companion crop for increased forage production and weed suppression during alfalfa establishment.

Abstract Sixteen lactating Holstein cows were utilized in a pasture comparison between greenleaf sudangrass and sorghum-sudan hybrid SX-11. Pastures were grazed for 50 days with 10 day grazing periods per plot compare milk production and body weight change. Production of 4% fat-corrected milk was similar (P > .05) for two cow groups.

Effect of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Fertilization on Yield and Some Growth Parameters of Sudangrass (Sorghum sudanese ) Crop [PDF]
A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of nitrogen(0,200 and 300 kgNha-1) and phosphorus (0,60,and 180 kgPha-1) fertilization and their combination on yield and some growth parameters of sudangrass(Sorghum Sudanese).
